Why Pick Honest Junk?

 

As the only 501(c)(3) junk removal service in Chicagoland, we can promise that using our service will benefit both you and the community. We partner with nonprofits all over the Chicago area and donate any usable items collected at pickup to those organizations.

Additionally, all revenue generated by Honest Junk goes toward funding our sister nonprofit - the Chicago Furniture Bank.

 

We collect your unwanted items quickly and carefully.

There is no job too big or too small for Honest Junk. We picks up pretty much anything, from residential to corporate projects, and pickups can be scheduled within 48 business hours.

All usable items are given to those in need.

We give all usable items to nonprofit partners to both help the community and reduce waste in landfills. Unusable items are broken down and given to our recycling partners to ensure we’re green from beginning to end.

Customers receive tax deductions.

As the only 501(c)(3) junk removal service, we provide a charitable contribution receipt for the value all items picked up, as well as 80% of our removal fee.

All revenue goes to the Chicago Furniture Bank.

As of 2023, the Chicago Furniture Bank has furnished over 13,200 homes for families leaving homelessness for free. All of Honest Junk's revenue goes toward funding the furniture bank's mission, along with any usable furniture collected being directly given to those in need through Chicago Furniture Bank.
